A BAREFOOT Book
When Hurricane Destiny sweeps across the island of St. Thomas in September, the East family isn’t worried about their vacation home. After all, a property management company handles insurance and repairs. Just to be sure, though, they send maid of honor Whitney Oliver to St. Thomas for a two-week vacation just prior to the Christmas Eve wedding of their daughter Taylor.
Instead of a tropical vacation, Whitney finds an estate heavily damaged and untouched by the contractor who cashed the checks. With only two weeks to pull the venue together for a wedding in paradise, she accepts the help of a sexy islander with an amazing skill for construction. Chris Maxwell, owner of Blue Isle Construction, is blown away by Whitney the moment she arrives on the island. Putting the East family estate together board by board is the only thing he can do to help Whitney—and himself.
Working side by side and day and night by the sparkling blue water’s edge, Whitney and Chris fall hard for each other. Hurricane Destiny brought them together, but will secrets surrounding Chris’ construction company tear them apart?

Ding.
Paige wrinkled her nose as she stared at Giana’s cell phone sitting on the crate they used as a coffee table.
It was Liam again. The poor guy was deployed in Afghanistan, and Giana was blowing him off refusing to answer emails or calls when Liam’s number came up.
“Giana?” she called to her roommate who was in the bathroom dolling up to go out. “Liam’s emailing you again.”
“I wish he’d get a clue,” her friend replied.
“I don’t see how you can treat him like that, Gi.”
“It’s easy when he’s half a world away.” She walked through the room wearing four inch heels and a tight dress, grabbed her purse, and walked back into the hallway. “Liam’s a sweet guy, but who knows what is going to happen when he gets back, or even what he’s doing over there.”
“He’s probably sleeping in a sand pit somewhere wondering how come you won’t talk to him.” Paige picked up the phone and pressed the Internet email icon.
G, ur on my mind. L.
Paige bit her lip. The poor sweetie.
Glancing back toward the bathroom, she pushed the keys on the screen.
I’m thinking of you too. Miss you.
She pressed send and set Giana’s phone down quickly. In less than a minute, the phone signaled an incoming email.
Y cold shldr?
Why the cold shoulder indeed? What should she say? Because I’m a heartless bitch?
Paige glanced behind her to be sure Giana was still occupied with her reflection in the bathroom mirror.
“Are you sure you’re done with Liam?” she asked aloud.
Giana marched out of the bathroom, and Paige hid the phone under her thigh. “Look. I just can’t deal with him fighting a war for a year, and he told me most of the guys are having to turn right around and get redeployed within two years of coming home. That’s not the kind of life I want. He’s a nice guy, but even he’s not worth it.”
“Can’t you wait until he gets home to break up with him?”
“I am waiting until he gets home to break up with him. How mean do you think I am?”
Paige gestured to Giana’s attire with a raised hand.
“Oh, spare me, Miss Goody Two Shoes. It’d be easy for you to love him. You don’t have a life anyway.”
“Thanks a lot. I think you do enough socializing for both of us.”
Giana smiled wickedly. “That’s right. You go hit the books while I hit the bars. I had two men fighting over me last night.”
Paige resisted the urge to roll her eyes. She was pretty sure they both had won seeing as how Giana had stumbled in about eleven o’clock this morning wearing last night’s prowling clothes.
“Where’s my phone?” Giana’s gaze scanned the room.
Paige’s grip tightened on the phone while she, too, looked around as if searching. “Maybe it’s in your bedroom.”
“I haven’t been in my bedroom except to get my dress.”
Paige didn’t resist the eye roll this time as Giana stalked toward the hallway—probably to the counter in front of the bathroom mirror—her favorite spot in the apartment.
Quickly Paige pulled out the phone and sent another message:
I’m changing emails. Will email you from my new account.

Review
“I loved this story. Ms. Vincent packs more feeling into just over one hundred pages than many authors do in a full-length book.” ~Suzanne Barrett, Romance Author
Author Bio: Renee Vincent holds a passionate interest in Irish and Norse history. She lives in the rolling hills of Kentucky with her husband and two children on a beautiful secluded farm of horses and hay fields. When not writing, she spends her time on the back of a horse, whether with her family or with friends, and thinks there is nothing like the feel of sunlight on your face, the wind in your hair, and the power of the animal beneath you. Seeing the world from a saddle, she says, is by far the best view and the best therapy for a heavy heart or a troubled mind. www.reneevincent.com

Jennifer Anderson's Biography
I'm a Mommy, wife and now author. Even though I've spent many
years on either coast, I've spent a majority of my life in the Midwest.
Here is where my heart grows with the love and support of my family and
friends and here is where I find inspiration for my stories.
I didn't grow up wanting to be an author but knew I needed to do something creative. After many years or moving from one job to the next and not finding happiness, I set pen to paper and began work on a Young Adult novel that will never see the light of day. And that's okay.
Finally, after a year or two of bringing life to the stories in my head, I got a break. Ice Princess, Book 1 from the Honey Creek Royalty series released April 2012. Prince Charming, Book 2 releases September 2012. Queen Mean, Book 3 releases December 2012. In 2013, King of the Lake, the 4th and final book releases in March.
I'm also excited to announce Spider, my first non-series YA novel will also release in 2013. Stay tuned for more news.

Friday Spotlight- Meant to Be by @karenstivali #TMPress @FictionWitches
click image above to check it out on Amazon
Sometimes you’re already committed to the wrong person when fate finally brings you the right one.
When NYU professor Daniel Gardner’s career-obsessed wife convinces him to move to the suburbs, he hopes it’s a first step toward starting the family he longs to have. Instead of domestic bliss he finds his neighbor, Marienne Valeti. She loves her freelance design job, but must contend with a growing sense of isolation created by her husband’s indifference. A penchant for good books, bad movies, and Marienne’s to-die-for brownies sparks a powerful bond between them. Passion simmers, but they resist its lure, surrendering only in the seclusion of their minds. Their friendship helps them weather every hardship, from divorce to widowhood, leaving them both secretly wondering if it can survive a first kiss.
About the Author-
Karen Stivali is a prolific writer, compulsive baker and chocoholic with a penchant for books, movies and fictional British men. When she's not writing, she can be found cooking extravagant meals and serving them to family and friends, who never seem to mind the excessive quantities she tends to prepare. She attributes her ability to multitask to the fact that she rarely sleeps, which gives her more hours every day. Prior to deciding to write full time Karen worked as a hand drawn animator, a clinical therapist, and held various food-related jobs ranging from waitress to specialty cake maker. Planning elaborate parties and fundraisers takes up what's left of her time and sanity.
Karen has always been fascinated by the way people relate to one another so she favors books and movies that feature richly detailed characters and their relationships. Alexander Lorre gives new meaning to the term “tormented teen.” He’s a
newly fallen angel, which means he has the self-control of a
three-year-old, the hormones of a teenager and the strength of an angel.
When he rescues Gaby Moore from drowning, the chemistry between them is
undeniable. With a local demon threatening Gaby’s life, he struggles to
find a balance between remaining close enough to protect her but
distant enough to control his desires.
As danger draws closer, Gaby uncovers shattering secrets that will lead to an ultimate choice. Will she fight alongside her father, an earthbound hunter killing fallen angels and demons, give into the demon blood coursing through her veins and join the demon world, or save the man she loves from both? The first two choices damn her, but the last one could destroy them all.

More alarmingly, she may be forced to reveal a long-hidden secret—she’s Carolina’s biological mother. But, will her disclosure no longer matter when a psychotic serial killer eliminating residents, spirals out of control, determined that Blue will be his last victim?

Determined to put her windfall to good use, Katie buys an old building for a women’s shelter. Her newfound family puts her in touch with Conner Patterson, a family friend, to help rehab the building. As work progresses, Katie finds herself falling in love with Conner, but fear keeps her from acting on her feelings. It soon becomes apparent, though, that Conner may be her only hope for survival, when someone hurt by her father’s past indiscretions is determined to make Katie pay for her father’s sins.
Author Bio: The first Compiled Writings by Christina were gathered and stapled together when I was ten years old. Those terribly written, yet funny to read, short stories often held some resemblance to my life growing up on a 39 acre farm in Williamsburg, OH, a small town east of Cincinnati. There were horses, cows, pigs, dogs, cats—okay, a zoo—which included three older brothers.
I left this wonderful life behind at eighteen to pursue a degree in Journalism and then a career in Marketing. After ten years of living in the city, I moved back to Williamsburg and bought those same 39 acres I grew up on. I eventually married my best friend, Jack, and allowed him and his son to move in with me, my two dogs and two horses. Since then, we’ve added another horse and built our dream home, a log cabin. The desire to write and become publishing was never far from my mind. It pushed at me until I could no longer ignore the stories running through my head.
Then one day, sitting in an airport on my way home from a business trip, I wrote the first chapter of Two Brothers. Once that first book was written, well, then I had to figure out what to do with it. I joined Romance Writers of America, as well as my local chapter, which eventually led me to Turquoise Morning Press and the release of my first book.
Like any good story, my journey has just begun and the ending is yet to be written.

That is, until handsome, flirty Dr. Victor Barrett moves in next door. He constantly bugs her about selling her practice to him—but she’s not budging.
How can she convince him to leave her alone when all she really wants him to do is kiss her again?
Author Bio: Ruth J. Hartman is a romance author as well as a licensed dental hygienist. She writes sweet, humorous romance novels. Often times they revolve around dentistry, cats, or both. Reviews:
A delightful book, even better than the others I've reviewed. In
fact, I'd say this is Ruth's best so far! There...is that committing
myself enough? The dialogue between Victor and Remmie, from the first
quip about her name to the last line is sharp and fast and full of wit.
The scenes with Remmie's cats and felinophobe Victor are amusing, and
the whole story moves at a pace which makes you want to keep reading
without taking a breath between words
My favourite scene was the impromptu date at the movies -- the
hero's erstwhile attempts to gain the heroine's favour, and her feisty
resistance, are nothing less than perfect. The back-and-forth banter
reminds me of the courtship of Gilbert Blythe and Anne of Green Gables.
Hartman has a direct line into my youthful daydreams about being an
independent woman and falling in love
In Grin and Barrett, when two dentists are after the same location
sparks fly. This was a fun read filled with good old fashioned romance.
Great Book, I loved it! If you like your loves stories with a lot of sass and humor. GET THIS BOOK!
