On the verge of sleep, he heard a moan and the rustle of the blanket as Jasmine’s weight shifted. She turned over and snuggled against him. Derrek let his arm slide around her, her head pressed against his shoulder. Jasmine’s hand came to rest on his chest. The light pressure of her against his body felt gentle and soft. In fact, it just felt right. She was a perfect fit.
Desire pulsed within him, but he fought the temptation. They needed sleep and nothing more.

Taryn's Snippit Sundays~ Keep Your Hands to Yourself #Excerpt
She wasn’t his though, but it did not stop him from wishing she were. Jasmine exuded independence and though she slipped and said something about being his wife, thinking he wouldn’t hear it, he rather doubted she took the thought serious. As Derrek dosed off, he promised himself he would be good, on his best behavior.Tonight will be a night of keeping my hands to myself. He wouldn’t touch Jasmine. He would let her sleep. They had a lot to do before leaving out for Indiana and he didn’t want her to think he was trying to take advantage of the situation.

Taryn's Snippit Sundays~ So much has changed... #excerpt
The motion didn’t even disturb her slumber.Derrek threw a blanket over Jasmine and turned out most of the lights, other than the halogen lamp near the end of the futon. Instead, he dimmed the lighting in case she awoke startled to find she wasn’t in her own bed at home.He slipped under the remaining bit of throw blanket and stretched his body out. Derrek locked his fingers behind his head and stared at the ceiling, in shock and wonder at the quiet surrounding them. The situation taunted him.If I had a girlfriend living with me, she wouldn’t be sleeping in a separate bed on a different floor. She’d be in my bed, in my arms.Derrek wanted to laugh aloud at how much things had changed in a few days time. He never imagined Jasmine would be asleep beside him in this house.

The Way To a Man's Heart- Chocolate Fudge Sauce
Old-Fashioned Chocolate Fudge Sauce
This recipe is one I remember my grandmother making for a
warm rich chocolate sauce you pour over cake, usually plain chocolate cake. You
can also pour it over vanilla ice cream. It takes 10 minutes and makes 1 ½
cups.
Ingredients-
¼ cup Cocoa
1 cup Sugar
½ cup Milk (or canned evaporated milk to make it richer)
2 Tablespoons Light Corn Syrup or Pancake Syrup
3 Tablespoons Butter or Margarine
¼-teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon Vanilla
Directions-
- Measure all but vanilla into 1 ½ quart sauce pan
- Stir until blended
- Bring to boil over moderate high heat (med high)
- Boil 1 minutes, stirring constantly
- Remove from heat and add Vanilla
- To reheat, stir in pan 5-8 minutes on low or 2-3 minutes on high in microwave, covered, stirring ½ way through.
