The Last Six Sentence Sunday- She's sweet... #sixsunday

This is last Six Sentence Sunday, folks.

Click the image above to go check out the authors and follow their blogs- you never know what you might be missing out on.

As for me and mine, we're here all the time and Derrek, Jasmine & I will be here next weekend, hopefully giving you a little something to to wet your appetite as I start my new Snippet Sundays. I hope you'll be here to join me.

Here's a little commentary about Jasmine's elderly neighbor, Essie from Love By Design.
“Essie caught you before you could get up the stairs, didn’t she?”
Derrek nodded. “She’s sweet.”
“That, she is.” Jasmine agreed. “Careful around her, she’ll make you diabetic.”

If you missed previous Six Sunday posts from Love by Design and would like to check them out, look at the top of the page in my pink tabs for SSS Posts where you can easily find links to each previous post. I will probably still continue to compile the links to my other snippits there was well, so there is easy access if you'd like to peruse them. Have a wonderful Sunday.

It's Still Just Me....Six Sentence Sunday #SixSunday #excerpt

As always, for those who might not know here's what 6 Sentence Sunday is all about-

Pick six (6) sentences from anything you like (it can be from a Work in Progress (WiP), something you recently sold, something you hope to sell or even something already under contract and available for purchase – and don’t worry, Six Sentence Sunday is for published AND unpublished writers). Then post them on your blog on Sunday. That’s all there is to it!

You can add yours link to their official list by signing up before midnight the Saturday beforehand, but for any who are familiar with it, you probably already know they will be shutting down soon and there will be no more Six Sentence Sundays. The last SSS is January 27, 2013.

When Jasmine opens the door upon Derrek's arrival, he truly is overwhelmed by her appearance in this next snippit from Love By Design.

Dressed in a dark purple evening gown that shimmered and hugged her curves as though made for her, Jasmine lit up. With a deep plunging neckline and thin spaghetti straps, the dress hung to the floor and hid the style of heels she wore beneath it.
“Pick your jaw up off the ground, Derrek.” Jasmine smiled, seeming as at ease in this as she was in a t-shirt and jeans. She held herself poised as though nothing had happened the night before. “It’s still just me.”

Take My Breath Away Six Sentence Sunday #SixSunday

As always, for those who might not know here's what 6 Sentence Sunday is all about-

I probably will continue to share on Sundays and title it Snippit Sundays and leave the "snippit" length at my discretion.

As I missed the first Sunday this month, I figured I'd skip ahead from where I left off in Love By Design to when Derrek is about to pick up Jasmine for their "date" to her sister Juniper's movie premiere at Grauman's and meets Jasmine's downstairs neighbor, the sweet little grandmotherly Ester, aka, Essie.

“Oh, yes, that’s this evening. Jasmine came home earlier with a dress bag and a box with high heels in it. She showed me.” Ester pressed her hand to her chest, her face beaming with pride like a mother or grandmother. “So beautiful, she’ll take your breath away.”
“She takes my breath away every time I see her, Ester.”

Welcome Sixers! Can you believe this year is nearing it's end? It seems only yesterday we were just getting started.

You can add yours link to their official list by signing up before midnight the Saturday beforehand, but for any who are familiar with it, you probably already know they will be shutting down soon and there will be no more Six Sentence Sundays. That's not to say I won't still continue to share a little something on Sundays and I'm thinking seriously of just changing it up a little and calling it Sexy Snippit Sundays, or something like that.

Heading back into my currently unpublished contemporary romance, Love by Design which I'm going to get to work on editing and polishing as soon as life around here gets back to our normal routine after New Year, when the kids get back to school and I have a quiet house in which to work. ;) ~

Jasmine’s hand reached her lips. They still tingled from the passion of Derrek’s kisses. They felt swollen and tormented…and abandoned.

Her heartbeat pounded in her ears and her breath jagged on the exhale. Panic filled her.

What had she been thinking to let it go this far?

Her eyes flew open and she steadied herself on her own two feet after the support of Derrek’s embrace. She heard a low curse escape his lips.

“I’ll be right back,” he said by way of apology, as he took the stairs two at a time. “Don’t. Go. Anywhere.”

Welcome Sixers!

Well, today marks the last day of my Christmas with Catherine & Dawson Giveaway and I will announce the winner soon through the Rafflecopter widget. Tomorrow I have my "The Next Big Thing" Blog hop post in which I will be revealing---you guessed it!!! The COVER for Love By Design!!!! I've had it tucked away for a couple of months, but thought it was a good time to share it before this year ends so you all can

SQUEE!!!!

with me over just how GORGEOUS it is and what an awesome job Tracy Stewart at All About the Cover did! Definitely stop by tomorrow to see my pretty sparkly! It's so lovely. (and I'm becoming a tragic exclamation point abuser...someone stop me.)

He moaned as well, though his hands never moved. He held her close, his fingers caressing the small of her back and her neck, while his hips rubbed against hers. The hard length of him surprised her. It seemed all systems were a go.

A ringing in her ears startled her.

Was this what happened during the best kiss of your life?
